Noémie strongly believes in citizens’ and communities’ central role in generating solutions to their own obstacles. The space for creativity and empathetic understanding that arises from design thinking methods, bringing diverse stakeholders from multiple backgrounds to the same table, is a powerful tool for solving complex societal problems. Her professional experience in health consultancy led her to mediate public, private, and citizens’ interests in highly technical arenas in order to accelerate the availability of innovative drugs in Europe. Her quantitative research skills are complemented by qualitative research experience, including leading ethnographic work in Cuba. At ThinkPlace, Noémie has led immersive research and rapid prototyping in several West and Central African countries to find innovative solutions to malnutrition and sexual & reproductive health, always keeping the end-user at the center of the process. With a background in Biology and International Development, she considers evidence-based methodologies as a fundamental pillar to build social and economic progress. Specializing in Global Health and Public Management, she is also familiar with the practicalities of multilateral agencies and their interactions with host countries due to her time at the Pan-American Health Organization's office in Cuba. Noémie is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and German. Having lived in several countries across four continents, she is well versed in cross-cultural communication and is convinced that knowledge and skills should be ceaselessly shared by constant engagement and exchange with one’s environment.
